If you've ever read any of my books, watched my TV show or heard me speak, you know that I live by my mantra of the "Power of One Good Habit." In fact, one specific habit that I just can't promote strongly enough can actually help you reduce your risk of colon and rectal cancer by 56%, lower your risk of heart disease by 40%, and help fight obesity, type 2 diabetes and constipation!! members of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT),
the premier association of financial professionals, learned the lessons of my favorite fiber habit in Denver on June 13. They also learned that no matter what country or culture, we ALL benefit from 30 grams of fiber in our diets each day!! As you can see, I had a little help illustrating my point!!
One of my favorite FiberLicious and FUN recipes
to serve during the hot summer months is Oklahoma Bean Dip. Talk about an easy and delicious way to add fiber to your diet – this recipe has 3 cans of fiber-rich legumes plus fresh tomatoes, green onions and fresh parsley. Serve it with baked tortilla chips or whole-wheat pita and you're serving up one healthy appetizer your friends and family with love.
I always have enough beans on hand
for any recipe because my cupboards are stocked with all 12 varieties of canned beans from Eden Foods, including the black-eyed peas and garbanzo beans called for in my Oklahoma Bean Dip. Of course, these 12 are in addition to the five kinds of seasoned beans and tons of refried beans Eden also makes. The best part about using Eden beans in my recipes is that in addition to the great flavor, I know I'm not adding ANY extra sodium to my diet because Eden's beans are no-salt-added. If you can't find all 12 varieties of Eden's beans in your grocery store, just order on-line and they'll deliver right to your doorstep; that means you can spend more time at the pool or lake instead of in the grocery store!!!
Come See Me LIVE!!
