That said, this course will focus on prediabetes and type 2, and will teach an “approximating” carb counting style (even though ALL recipes do provide the carbohydrate content, for you and anyone needing to count carbs closely). As long as you know your medication and the amount of carbs you need at each meal, then YES. This course will be fantastic for you!

Absolutely! In fact, for those who have weight to lose, Step 1 for improving your insulin sensitivity is to lose that weight. So you can rest assured that this series is packed with waist-whittling tips and nutritious recipes that support weight loss. Yes! The cookbook is an awesome addition! For anyone who doesn’t already have it, I highly suggest it… though you don’t have to, because every recipe in the cookbook is also at EatRealAmerica.com. That said, the recipes in the cookbook are 100 of the most prized recipes from the site, organized into a 4-week meal plan challenge. Plus, shopping lists and all the added tips included throughout the book make it a must-have. I also suggest the REAL Food Daily Defender Checklist and Shopping List Notepads… all great tools that make healthy eating so much EASIER!

Actually, BOTH! The focus is lots of delicious nutrient-rich plants, including high-fiber, resistant starch that is “slow carbs”. Yes, the diet is significantly “lower carb” than the traditional American Diet, but includes the right carbs in the right amounts, and does NOT eliminate entire groups of food. Many delicious eye-opening meatless meals will be featured, but so will the inclusion of meats in wise portions, so no one feels deprived!
